Holidays: a scourge for immunity?

[article_image_basic : right]

Exotic landscapes, pleasant sea water and delicious food are already waiting for the first holidaymakers! We often look forward to summer relaxation all year round.

However, even during this time, various pitfalls lurk, such as colds and viruses. That’s why we have prepared an article in which we will advise you how to avoid them or how to deal with them quickly and easily.

Summer is here!

We can finally indulge in a few days (or weeks) of lounging on the beach, going on adventurous trips or making new unforgettable memories in old familiar places. After long months of obligations, our bodies are craving a change of scenery. However, despite all the known positives, unpleasant health complications can occur. They can arise in various ways, mostly due to a weakened immune system. This is because it has to “cope” with several pitfalls – from air conditioning in hotels or trafficto the local climate, to completely new stimuli in the form of viruses or bacteria. Nevertheless, few people think about strengthening it before going on holiday. Colds, flu or other viruses are thus not uncommon.

How to prevent

As they say, prevention is the best treatment. Think about this before you set off on your summer holiday. First and foremost, remember to strengthen your immunity from within. A varied diet rich in vitamins is the key, or reach for nutritional supplements for a better effect.

Carnosine EXTRA contains up to six active ingredients that help support the body’s defences, suppressand contribute to the overall regeneration of the body at the cellular level.

You can order Carnosine EXTRA in our shop.

Regular hardening will help to cope with climate change or the transition from hot outdoors to air-conditioned spaces. For example, start it in spring or, if necessary, start preparing for the next season this autumn. But if you can’t keep up, we have some tips for you on how to stay “climate-proofed”. Always protect yourself with clothing (sweater, sweatshirt, scarf, socks if necessary), especially when travelling by transport, where the climate is much more intense. In your hotel room, set it so that the difference with the outside temperature is not very significant (5-7 oC is recommended, otherwise you are almost certain to catch a cold!).

It is proven that the immune system is also compromised by insufficient drinking. Therefore, remember to replenish fluids regularly. However, make sure the hotel has running drinking water; also bear in mind that in some countries only bottled water is recommended for drinking.
