In the New Year without vice

New challenges, plans goals,… and of course resolutions! The New Year is an opportunity for many of us to make changes – in lifestyle, work or personal interests and dreams. However, it is a great time to get rid of addictions! Don’t you have any? In fact, some you may not even be aware of, but are still harmful to you.

Passivity and negativity

Not all decisions have to turn out well. There are times in everyone’s life when they begin to doubt their rightness, sometimes even their own abilities. However, in an attempt to avoid these unpleasant feelings, we often slip into a stereotype, into our own comfort zone. We don’t want to start anything new and we live life passively, our minds overwhelmed by negative thoughts. This habit is especially dangerous for our mental health. After a while, negative thoughts can turn into depression and it is necessary to seek help from a professional.

Therefore, start the New Year full of joy and positive mood. Try to resolve all important issues before the New Year and clear your imaginary desk full of responsibilities. Nothing is perfect, but don’t worry about it. Instead, give yourself a break that will give you a fresh new perspective on things. Set goals you want to accomplish during the new year and don’t be afraid to take on new challenges. Although stereotyping is inevitable in some situations, if you apply it to all areas of your life, over time it will begin to kill not only your soul but also your body.

Eating problems and emotions

Anger, stress, boredom, fear, disappointment or frustration are the most common negative emotions that we tend to deal with through food. One of the consequences of high emotional tension is a feeling of inner emptiness. However, this is a psychological state and eating will not solve it. Before you clean out the fridge, try waiting for the strongest emotions to subside. You can find effective help, for example, in various meditation and relaxation techniques. In the New Year, try to adopt some – you will be rewarded not only with better mental health, but also with physical fitness, without the extra kilos you’ve unreasonably gained.

Mobile phones, social networks and the internet

Phenomena of our time without which we can’t imagine life. Mobile phones have become our everyday tools for making life and leisure easier. We fill much more of our day with social networking than we realise – we even fall asleep on our phones! However, doctors warn that electromagnetic light has a negative impact on sleep quality. They say you should put your mobile phone down as early as two hours before you go to bed.

Lack of care for your own health

Hectic times also take a toll on our health. In the flood of responsibilities, there is somehow no time to visit the doctor for a regular preventive check-up; not to mention an honest treatment for the flu or a cold! However, several experts warn that the body “remembers” and can do us a disservice later in life. So in the New Year, try to think more about your health and listen to your body’s needs. Even the slightest cold can be a sign of exhaustion, excessive stress and, as a result, deteriorating immunity and overall health. Think about prevention, which is based on a healthy lifestyle.

Our tip: A balanced diet full of vitamins and beneficial substances is the basis for good health. These undoubtedly include antioxidants. They protect the body from the harmful effects of stress and free radicals, strengthen immunity, the heart and the nervous system. One of the most effective is carnosine. Make sure you get enough of it by taking the dietary supplement Carnosine EXTRA, which contains five other powerful antioxidants in addition to carnosine. You can find it in our shop.
