A unique nutraceutical – SULFORAFAN – an important molecule with beneficial benefits for human health. It is scientifically proven that by taking Sulforaphane EXTRA regularly you will build up your anti-cancer protection, strengthen your immunity and increase the quality of your health.
Slovak scientist Prof. RNDr. Katarína Horáková, DrSc., a member of the ITK research team at the current Faculty of Chemical and Food Technology of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, was the first person in the world at the end of the 1950s. She was the first woman in the 1950s to investigate and discover the anticancer effect of natural sulforaphane on human cancer cells in vitro. We talked to her about this groundbreaking innovation.
Sulforaphane is found in broccoli. It has physiological benefits and provides protection against chronic diseases. In broccoli, it is found in the form of glucoraphanin.
The presence of the enzyme myrosinase is required for the effects to be utilised. This converts glucoraphanin into sulforaphane in the body and allows its benefits to be reaped.
One of the main advantages of sulforaphane is its high bioavailability. Thanks to its chemical structure and its ability to merge with fats, it reaches all the cells of our body. Sulforaphane has been shown to have an absolute bioavailability of around 80%, peaking in the bloodstream approximately 1 hour after ingestion and lasting up to 20 hours.
Sulforaphane thus creates a broad protective shield against cardiovascular disease without side side effects.
It acts as a health insurance policy for our cells by supporting the protective and detoxifying mechanisms in the cells. This allows environmental toxins and air pollutants to be removed from the body, repairing damage caused by oxidative stress and inflammation.
The healing power of sulforaphane lies in the versatility of its action. It forms a general protective shield against chronic degenerative diseases of the thymusby interfering with the primary causes of these diseases, protecting us from oxidative stress and inflammation.
Current medications specifically act either to lower cholesterol (statins and fibraor anti-clotting (e.g. aspirin, anopyrine, valfarin, xarelto),reduce blood pressure (beta blockers or calcium channel blockers or diuretics for drainage) or help prevent blood vessels from narrowing and so reduce blood pressure (ACE inhibitors).
Unlike dietary chemoprotective drugs, sulforaphane prevents the primary causes – oxidativestress and inflammation, which play a major role in the pathophysiology of cardiac and vascular disorders.Sulforaphaneblocks several steps that together are involved in the formation of cardiovascular disease. At the same time, it protects us from atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, prevents platelet clumping and thrombus formation.Sulforaphane thus creates a broad protective shield against cardiovascular disease without side side effects.
Sulforaphane can do what no medicine can. Current cancer drugs are targeted to eradicate a specific type of cancer. In contrast, the dietary chemoprotective lure of sulforaphane creates a general anticancer protective shield , which blocks several steps (or cascade of steps) collectively involved in the formation of cancer.Sulforaphane attacks from several sides simultaneously:
It is also useful in the complementary treatment of certain types of cancer – it greatly enhances the effectiveness of some commonly used anti-cancer drugs.

Sulforaphane is a bioactive compound found in some cruciferous plant species, especially broccoli , mustard and cabbage. Here are some interesting facts and benefits about sulforaphane:
1. Antioxidant properties.
2. Effect on brain health: Some studies suggest that sulforaphane may have beneficial effects on brain health and may help protect against neurodegenerative diseases.
3. Detoxification support.
4. Effect on Cancer: Research suggests that sulforaphane may have a potential anti-cancer effect and may help reduce the risk of somecancers /particularly lung, prostate, colon and breast cancers/ and may play an important role in the supportive treatment of cancer patients in remission.
5. Sulforaphane may help reduce inflammation in the body, which may be beneficial for heart and blood vessel health.
6. May help with stress management: It is sometimes suggested that sulforaphane may have an effect on the body’s stress response.
7. One capsule of SULFORAFAN EXTRA contains the equivalent of up to 5 kg !!! of young broccoli sprouts with the active enzyme myrosinase.
8. Studies suggest that sulforaphane may have protective effects against certain diseases and may promote apoptosis of cancer cells.
Apoptosis is programmed cell death, which is an important process in the body that allows for the removal of damaged, inflamed, or unnecessary cells..
There is promising evidence suggesting its potential health benefits. The reasons for the induction of apoptosis by sulforaphane lie in its ability to influence various molecular mechanisms in cells.
