1. L-carnosine is a powerful antioxidant that helps neutralise free radicals in the body. This can help protect cells from damage and slow down the ageing process. To utilise its effects, the enzyme myrosinase is required, which converts glucoraphanin into sulforaphane in the body and allows its benefits to be utilised.
