The active ingredient was first discovered in the late 1950s by Slovak scientist Prof. RNDr. Katarína Horáková, DrSc., who studied the anti-cancer effect of natural sulforaphane on human cancer cells in vitro.
Sulforaphane is found in broccoli, has physiological benefits and provides protection against chronic diseases. It is found in broccoli in the form of glucoraphanin.
