What didn’t you know about Kolostrum?

After 24-48 hours after birth, colostrum is produced in the mammary glands of mammals, even before the actual production of “real milk”. It contains mainly proteins, carbohydrates, fats, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. The proteins of this phenomenon are responsible for the breakdown of bacteria and viruses. An example is cow’s colostrum, which can contain up to 100 times more antibodies than ordinary milk.

How is it really produced?

Until now, you may not have really known how colostrum is obtained. Colostrum is an extract from the mammary glands, especially in cows. It is these cattle that are vaccinated to create those antibodies that fight the bacteria that cause diarrhea problems in the first place. These important antibodies are mainly contained in cow’s colostrum, which enters our bodies primarily as a nutritional supplement.

A source of immunity

Precisely because of its ability to defend and produce antibodies, colostrum is referred to as a natural and effective remedy and guide to immunity. Several clinical studies have also confirmed the probiotic and bacterial benefits of colostrum. Colostrum is based on 250 components that cause more than 50 other processes through immunity, regeneration and growth in our body.

Digestion and microflora

Colostrum contains a growth factor that helps the body process food better and burn more fat in the process. According to doctors, these factors are produced in our body. But not in the quantities our body really needs. The reduction of this factor occurs during aging, during physical activity or exercise, the occurrence of toxins or in the way we eat and its nutritional value.

Colostrum and ageing

What is definitely associated with the absence of colostrum in the body is old age. After adolescence, the production of growth hormone, which is essential for the preservation and reproduction of cells, decreases. We can also point to the immune system, which is weakened, and at 60 there are problems with the functions of the glands (e.g. Thymus). Colostrinin is a component of colostrum that you might find under the label PRP and is used to improve mental function. It helps to nutritionally enrich brain tissue for people with Alzheimer’s as well.

Fitness and muscle building

Many of us dream of having a beautiful and healthy body. We try to balance our busyness with time in the gyms often and above all. If you are an athlete or just a weekend wrestler, and if you are really looking for the right nutritional supplement to build muscle mass, improve physical performance and proper recovery, colostrum is the perfect solution for you. It has been stated as a rule of thumb that diet is the key to a perfect body. However, sometimes it is not enough and we are not satisfied with our results. Colostrum supports your consistent performance enrichment in activities such as anaerobic energy system in particular. In one study, it was even shown and reported to be the highest performance of cyclists who were given colostrum (20 g/day) along with a regular protein-rich diet.
